Generous gift establishes $200,000 scholarship for women in STEM

Ryerson is pleased to announce a new scholarship that will open doors for women pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The Savitri & Anju Virmani Scholarship for Women in STEM was created thanks to a generous $100,000 gift from Ms. Anju Virmani, chief information officer at CargoJet and expert in the field of information technology.

TTC welcomes new citizen members to board Maureen Adamson elected as Vice-Chair

The Toronto Transit Commission today welcomed the addition of four citizen members to the board: Maureen Adamson, Nick Di Donato, Alan Heisey, and Anju Kumar Virmani were sworn in as Commissioners, with Maureen Adamson elected as Vice-Chair, as the Vice-Chair of the Commission must now be one of the citizen appointees.
